New Yam Festival (Iri Ji)
The New Yam Festival is a time-honoured celebration of the yam harvest among Igbo communities. It is a period of thanksgiving, feasting and cultural renewal, marking the beginning of the new farming year. In the Forum, the festival is celebrated with traditional ceremony, music, dance and community fellowship.
