Ndi Odinana Nna Anyi Dimma Development Forum (Odinani na Nna-Ayị Dị Mma — “Our Father’s Heritage is Good”) is a pan-ethnic Nigerian cultural and development organisation that unites members of Igbo, Yoruba and other indigenous backgrounds around the shared preservation of ancestral tradition and culture.
Our membership spans both genders and a wide range of professional backgrounds, at home and across the diaspora. We exist to preserve, promote and transmit our heritage to future generations while contributing to the development of our communities.
Our Mission
To help those who may not have the capacity to carry out matters in the ancestral tradition — because some people are overwhelmed. Through consultation of the oracle (gbaa afa) and divination, whatever needs to be resolved according to the revelation is done, by people who have the capacity and understand the culture. It is not only about money or large donations; it is about doing the tradition properly and helping one another.
Our Vision
A united, thriving community where every member — regardless of gender or profession — contributes to the continuity of our heritage and the development of the communities we call home.
How We Are Organised
- Executive Council — provides overall leadership and stewardship
- Board of Trustees — governs and protects the interests of the Forum
- The Power Base — the special office of those who work directly with divination, whether male or female
- General Membership — the lifeblood of the Forum, at home and in the diaspora
A Registered Organisation
The Forum is a registered organisation. We are registered with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (Anambra State) and the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC); we hold SCUML certification from the EFCC and a tax clearance certificate. Our work is guided by a constitution established by the membership.
What We Do
- Cultural education — teaching, enlightenment and the transmission of knowledge about Igbo culture and heritage
- Support in the ancestral tradition — consulting the oracle and resolving matters according to divination, including for those without means
- Community and fellowship — events, meetings and a welcoming network of members
- Development initiatives — projects that give back to our communities
